Kevin Carvosso

Based in Sidcup, graduating from the University of East London in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Kevin went on to gain his MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from Bath University in 2014.
Specialising in outpatients, musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and sports injuries very quickly after qualifying and commencing with Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust, he has worked in private practice for the last 15 years.

With extensive experience in high performance sport ranging from International Judo to National 7’s rugby, Premier League football to World-class track and field athletics, Kevin has worked in elite sports for the last 20 years. During this time, he spent 7-seasons with Charlton Athletic FC, culminating in being Lead Physiotherapist for Women’s football, with responsibility for the Academy, Centre of Excellence, Reserves and 1st team squads. He has also worked for UKA and Great Britain Athletics Events for over 12 years covering the London and Birmingham Summer Diamond League events, and more recently the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix event, yearly.
Furthermore, he has worked and continues to work in elite judo. Working with GB Judo from 2010, he became the Lead Physiotherapist after London in 2012 until just after moving with them to their new Centre of Excellence facility in Walsall in 2014. He continued to provide ad hoc Centre cover and travel several times a year with the various teams to training and competitions worldwide. He now enjoys a similar role with TeamNL Judobond since early 2019.
He has also enjoyed stints with both the RFU Men’s 2016 Rio Silver-medal winning 7s team and the WRFU 7s squads and was retained as a reserve physiotherapist for the RFU.
Since 2012 he has worked as a contractor for the English Institute of Sport and has also guest lectured at the University of Greenwich providing a short course in Sports Injury management to undergraduates from 2009 until 2017.
